Top 3 Tips to Keep Up Training During Break

With your break fast approaching, it’s tempting to want to curl up on the couch and binge Netflix for a week straight. However, extra time off can often make or break the progress you’ve made in training for the upcoming season. To keep on track, Champion Teamwear has our top 3 tips to make sure you’re ready to continue training once your break ends.

Keep Moving

While it’s important to get plenty of rest and relaxation during your break, it’s also important to keep up a regular schedule of activity. Prolonged periods of sitting can be unhealthy. During commercial breaks or long show intros, try to get up and stretch or do a few reps of simple exercises like lunges, push-ups, crunches, and squats.

Remain Hydrated

When you’re busy with friends and family, it’s easy to forget to remain hydrated. However, keeping up on water and other hydrating beverages can help curb overindulgence of food and treats. Read our blog for more tips on how to stay hydrated.

Indoor Workouts

Is it too cold to work out outside? Maybe the gym facility has limited availability? Try working out indoors instead! Here’s a list of our favorite indoor workouts to help you get started. Whatever you decide to do, just keep moving!

Enjoy Yourself (but don’t overindulge!)

Spending time with family and friends and indulging in seasonal food is an important part of breaks. However, it’s also important to be mindful of how much you consume so you won’t struggle when your break ends and you’re back training with your team. Follow these tips, and you’ll be one step closer to a successful season!
